Investing in the Future of the River Valley

Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation (AVECC) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 AVECC Senior Scholarship: Cole Frizzell of Clarksville High School, Jolee Robberson of County Line High School and Brady Perkins of Van Buren High School.

Each student will receive $2,500 to support their educational aspirations beyond high school.

The highly competitive application process includes an online application and an essay titled, “How I Plan to Use My Degree to Change My Community.” Finalists also participated in an in-person interview with the scholarship committee.
Since its inception in 2021, AVECC’s Senior Scholarship Program has awarded $42,500 to deserving students across the River Valley.

Frizzell, Robberson, and Perkins all exemplified leadership, ambition, and a dedication to using their education to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Cole Frizzell

Clarksville High School, Arkansas Tech University, Electrical Engineering Major

“One of my main goals is to help modernize and strengthen local infrastructure, focusing on energy efficiency and renewable power. Earning an electrical engineering degree is more than a personal achievement; it is an opportunity to give back and create lasting improvements in my community.”

Jolee Robberson

County Line High School, University of Central Arkansas, Marketing Major

“Through a career in veterinary pharmaceutical sales, I hope to combine my interest in marketing with my appreciation for the role animals play in people’s lives. By helping veterinarians access the best resources and treatments available, I want to contribute to healthier animals and stronger communities.”

Brady Perkins

Van Buren High School
Abilene Christian University, Bible and Ministry Major

“I plan to ‘pour myself out’ — to pour out my time, my energy and my resources into my community. To be a giver. To be selfless because I wholeheartedly believe that is the mission of the church. My degree will help me bring positivity, provision and, above all, love and hospitality to my community.”
