Adeline Caldwell, a recent high school graduate from Ozark, is interning for member services at AVECC in her hometown.
“It’s a really good community,” she said.
Growing up in Ozark, Adeline’s internship is not the first interaction she has had with AVECC. “Arkansas Valley Electric is something I’ve known about my whole life,” she said. “My grandpa retired from here. He was a lineman for about 50 years. And not to brag, but I also won the AVECC Christmas card contest when I was in fifth grade!” she smiled. “So AVECC is just a huge part of Ozark.”
Because of AVECC’s presence in her community, it was exciting for Adeline to land her first internship with the Cooperative. “It’s just a very good environment to work,” she said, “and the people are great.”
After her internship, Adeline is looking forward to starting her college journey at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville this August, where she plans to study health promotion and psychology.
