“My job is to help members with their everyday needs. Whether I’m taking payments, assisting with starting or disconnecting service or answering questions, my priority is taking care of our members. Many of the people I serve enjoy coming into the office for that face-to-face interaction, and I’ve built relationships with members I see month after month. Every day is a little different, and that’s one of the things I enjoy about my job. I try to be as understanding and helpful as possible because I know times can be hard, and I want our members to know we’re here for them.
What I love most about my job is the people and the family atmosphere. We’re a family here. We look out for each other, we laugh and we have fun, but at the end of the day, we get things done and take care of people. My daddy worked for Arkansas Valley Electric for 34 years as a lineman, so I grew up understanding the hard work and sacrifices that come with serving our members. I’ve always had a big heart for the guys working out in the field, and being part of the cooperative means a lot to me. I truly love being here!”
