AVECC Continues Tradition with Wallace Milton Scholarship

The Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation continued a long tradition this week of supporting University of the Ozarks students through scholarships. Representatives from AVECC made a $3,500 donation to the University’s Wallace M. Milton Scholarship Fund on March 14. Those attending the presentation included (from left), U of O alumnus and AVECC board member Philip Taylor ’85; U of O President Richard Dunsworth; Barbara Jenkins, multimedia specialist for AVECC; and Sam Davis, AVECC board member. Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative has been supporting scholarships at U of O since 1975. The Wallace M. Milton Scholarship was established in the late 1970s in memory of the former corporation manager. The scholarship is awarded to an Ozarks student from the AVECC region.
