Introducing the Senior Scholarship Recipients

Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation (AVECC) is proud to announce the three recipients of the 2025 AVECC Senior Scholarship. These outstanding students will receive $2,500 to support their educational aspirations beyond high school.
The application process includes an online application and an essay titled "How I Plan to Use My Degree to Change My Community." Finalists also participated in an in-person interview with the scholarship committee.
Since its inception in 2021, AVECC's Senior Scholarship Program has proudly awarded $35,000 to deserving students in the River Valley. AVECC proudly announces Libby Rose, Allee Little, and Blake Bingham as the 2025 AVECC Senior Scholarship recipients.
Libby Rose
Van Buren High School
Libby is committed to furthering her education at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith to become an elementary school teacher. Libby explained that her goal for her as an educator is to “foster a love for learning and bridge the gap between families and school.” She also aims to instill a passion for learning by creating engaging, hands-on experiences and integrating creative teaching methods. As Libby states, " When teacher’s make learning enjoyable for students, they become more confident and willing to take on challenges--a mindset that will benefit them, and ultimately our community, for years to come.” Libby's commitment to community service is powerfully demonstrated by her current work at a daycare at her church, solidifying her dedication to nurturing young minds and strengthening community bonds.
Allee Little
Alma High School
Allee will attend the University of Central Arkansas to major in communication sciences and disorders, with the goal of becoming a pediatric speech therapist. Allee shares that she aims to give back to her community by giving “children one of the most life-changing abilities: self-expression and independence." She explained, “I truly believe the best thing you can give someone is independence and autonomy, and my mission as a speech therapist is to foster an environment where kids can grow to reach their potential.”Allee is undoubtedly driven by a desire to facilitate a positive environment for children, so that they may all reach their full potential.
Blake Bingham
Waldron High School
Blake will be attending the University of Central Arkansas, where he will major in computer science and instrumental music performance, as well as play in the school band. “Music has been a defining part of my life, and I believe that maintaining a balance between my technical and creative pursuits will keep me engaged and fulfilled.” Blake also expresses a strong desire to give back to his community. He hopes to use his technological expertise to assist local businesses and mentor aspiring technology professionals, and wants to support his high school's music program by working with young percussionists.
Through these scholarships, AVECC demonstrates its ongoing commitment to supporting education and fostering the development of future community leaders in the River Valley. Libby Rose, Allee Little, and Blake Bingham exemplify the values of academic achievement and community engagement, and AVECC is proud to invest in their potential.
