Fun for Family Fireworks Shows in the River Valley

Happy Fourth of July from Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative. We hope all of our members, employees, and communities have a fun and safe time of celebration. If you are not sure what to do this Fourth of July, we found celebrations in each of our 14 at the list below that gives at least one celebration per county the co-op serves.
Franklin
- The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is having a July 3rd firework show at West Side Park in Ozark. There will be live music, food trucks, vendors, and family-friendly activities. The event starts at 5:00 PM, and fireworks will start at 9:45 PM.
- The Charleston Chamber of Commerce will have its celebration on July 4th on the lawn at the Greenhurst Nursing Home. There will be free hot dogs, chips, drinks, watermelon, and a fireworks show. The event begins at 6:30 PM, and fireworks follow at DARK.
Johnson
- Clarksville will hold a firework display, hosted by First Baptist Church, on July 4th at 8:00 pm. The event will be held at the corner of Cline and Clark roads. There will be available parking at the church and Clarksville school to see the show.
Pope
- Russellville will hold its Independence Firework celebration at the Russellville Lakefront over Lake Dardanelle. The event is on July 4th. The event starts at 6:00 PM and will feature live music and food vendors. The fireworks show will follow at 9:30 PM.
Logan
- The “Fireworks over Paris” event will be on July 3rd at Wood Street Park. The event starts at 7:00 PM with music and fireworks at dusk. There will be vendors, a kid's zone, and more.
- Booneville will be having a fireworks show at Bearcats Stadium on July 4th. The festival starts at 7:00 PM with fireworks at 9:15 PM. There will be family activities, food, and merchandise vendors.
Yell
- Dardanelle is hosting its firework show at Veterans Memorial Riverfront Park on July 4th. There will be live music and food trucks at the event with fireworks starting at 9:15 PM.
Crawford
- Van Buren will be having their July 4th celebration at the Field of Dreams Sports Complex. There will be food vending and fun activities. The gates open at 7:00 PM followed by fireworks beginning at DARK.
Sebastian
- Fort Smith’s “Mayor’s 4th of July Celebration” will be held at Harry E Kelley River Park from 5:00 -10:00 PM. There will be live music, food trucks, children's activities, and a fireworks display over the Arkansas River.
Scott
- Waldon is holding their 4th of July celebration at Sodie Davidson Park. There will be fireworks at DARK.
Newton
- “Sparks in the Park” will be in Jasper at Bradley Park. There will be a water slide, corhole tournament, and free music. The games begin July 4th at 4:00 PM, music at 7:00 PM, and fireworks to follow.
Madison
- The city of Huntsville is having a fireworks show at Kate Barr Ross Park on Friday, July 4th. There will be children's activities and food vendors from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, followed by fireworks at 9:15 PM.
Washington
- Farmington will have a fireworks show that begins at dusk on July 4th and will be visible from Randall G Lynch Middle School.
Adair
- N/A
Le Flore
- Poteau will have its celebration on July 4th at the Donald W Reynold Convention Center. There will be family-friendly activities starting at 6:00 PM, and a fireworks display at DUSK.
Sequoya
- Sallisaw will have a fireworks display on Friday, July 4th. It will be held at the Sallisaw High School and will have games and activities. The fireworks display begins at DUSK.
