$6,000 Available in Teacher Appreciation Awards
Arkansas Valley Electric is now accepting nominations for its annual $2,500 Teacher Appreciation Award. The award recognizes K-12 public school teachers in the Arkansas Valley Electric service area for their dedication to students and the community.
Community members can nominate a teacher by filling out an online form by September 12, 2025. The nomination should explain why the teacher deserves the award and how they have positively influenced their school district.
After an initial review, four finalists will be selected. The AVECC Scholarship Committee will then visit each of the finalists’ schools to conduct interviews with an administrator, a peer teacher, and a student.
The winning teacher can use the $2,500 award however they choose, whether it's for classroom supplies, professional development, or personal use.
