Alma Power Player

As part of Arkansas Valley Electric’s #PowerPlayer series highlighting student-athletes who make a powerful impact on and off the court, this week we’re proud to feature Alma athletes Breella Hughes and Carson Curd.

A veteran post player and the lone senior on her team, Breella Hughes has played Alma basketball since the third grade. She is known for her leadership and the unique bond she shares on the court with her younger sister. “It’s overwhelming but great... it actually is really fun having your best friend on the court with you,” Breella said. After graduation, she plans to stay in the area and pursue a career in real estate.

Junior guard Carson Curd is a standout leader for the Airedales, known for his work ethic and commitment to his team’s success. He balances his role on the court with a focus on being a positive influence. “Being a leader to me is just putting in extra work, being a good role model, and doing what's right,” Carson said.
