AVECC Announces 2026 Youth Tour Delegates

AVECC is proud to announce the 2026 Youth Tour delegates who will represent the River Valley this summer during an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. 

The delegates earned this prestigious spot to tour America's capital by applying to Youth Tour, then participating in an in-person interview. 

About Youth Tour: 

Each spring, AVECC selects multiple high school juniors to attend Washington Youth Tour. The winners are chosen through an interview process. 

Youth Tour is a leadership-based opportunity for students to connect with their community and cooperative. The selected students will represent AVECC as they join students from electric cooperatives across the nation in Washington, D.C.  for the opportunity to meet Arkansas’ congressional delegation, visit historic sites, learn about the workings of their nation’s government and learn how electric cooperatives' impact our rural communities. 

Students selected will receive a $500 college scholarship from AVECC as well as an opportunity to earn a $5,000 scholarship from the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.
