Eli Davis, an intern with the AVECC engineering department at Ozark, has a passion for soccer, people, and teamwork.
“I love working with teams and creating something new, which is why I am so excited to pursue my studies in electrical engineering,” Eli said.
This Fall, Eli will start his 2nd year at ATU in Russellville where he is double majoring in electrical engineering and computer engineering. Though he is not far into his degree, he loves seeing how things work together – not just mechanically.
“My favorite part is definitely seeing the teamwork [at AVECC],” he said. As a soccer player, Eli knows the importance of communication and cooperation on the field, and in the office. He currently updates map and member information for AVECC engineering and the WAVE fiber departments. “I get to take that task off the engineers so they can focus on other important things,” he said.
Eli also appreciates the diversity of experiences he is getting, as he mentioned there is a mix of working in the field, in the office, and with other departments across AVECC and WAVE alike.
“Seeing how the Cooperative runs is like seeing the gears in a clock,” he said. “It’s really awesome seeing the communication and how different departments interact and work together to get things done.”
