Wes English - Employee Spotlight

Wes English

Pocola District Superintendent | 24 Years

"I started working for AVECC as an apprentice lineman 24 years ago in my hometown of Waldron. It is special to be able to serve your friends and family. After a few years, moved into the role of a Serviceman where I served the Greenwood area, until I recently took the position of the Pocola District Superintendent. I schedule work assignments, order materials, make sure all equipment is serviced, keep inventory of poles and transformers, or anything else that is related to helping the linemen do their jobs effectively. I'd like for the members to know that we care about them. We care about the community because we are part of the community. We live here, too. And we are also members. Keeping the lights on is a big priority for us."
