"I have been with AVECC for over 10 years and have had the opportunity to serve our members as a serviceman in the Van Buren district. As a serviceman, I am tasked with anything from metering issues to voltage problems or 'flickering lights.' I also maintain our lighting system throughout the district. Servicemen usually get the first call when outages occur, or our members call with anything they need. I serve the community I grew up in as a Crawford County native. Many friends, family members and co-workers live on our system. We have a good environment at the co-op, and wonderful people are in every department. From top to bottom, it is a family and a culture of keeping the lights on."
