Emiliano Gaona - Student Athlete of the Week

Arkansas Valley Electric and Wave Rural Connect's Student-Athlete of the Week is Emiliano Gaona.

Emiliano is a sophomore who plays wide receiver and safety for the Charleston Tigers. He has been a key player on the Charleston Tigers football team this season, helping lead his team to victory this past Friday.

When asked about his success, Emiliano was quick to give credit to his team and coaches. "We all play our parts as a team. We have great coaching, and I think we've [all] done what we needed to win," he said. 

Emiliano has been a part of the Charleston community his entire life, and he's proud to represent the team and the town on the football field. "Wearing the Tigers jersey and representing Charleston is great," he said. "We have always been such a great team, and it feels good to be a part of this community."

Looking ahead to the rest of the season, Emiliano is confident in his team's abilities. "The rest of the season, I expect us to play like we usually do, [which is] play hard," he said. "We are a great team, and we are expected to win every single year." With Emiliano's talent and dedication on the field, we have no doubt he will continue to achieve great things.
