Brody Koch | Student-Athlete of the Week

Brody Koch, a senior Senior running back and linebacker for the Subiaco Trojans, is leading his team to victories on and off the field this season.

Brody scored 42 points last week and had 26 rushes for 169 yards and four touchdowns. He had five receptions for 117 yards and two touchdowns. He also scored three 2-point conversions. On defense, Brody had ten tackles, one interception with a 60-yard return, and caused a fumble that the team recovered. Needless to say, the Trojans walked away with a big “W,” which also catapulted the team to win the conference championship.

Brody considers himself a leader on the team. “I just try to do my best on and off the field and help the younger guys make good decisions on the field and encourage my team to make the best grades we can in the classroom.”

“I’ve played Trojan football since I was in seventh grade,” shares Brody. “My Dad and his brothers and cousins all went to Subiaco Academy, and I’m following them.”

As a “legacy” student, Brody takes pride in wearing the Trojan jersey. “My family comes to every game. It doesn’t matter if it’s home or away.”

Brody describes the team’s conference championship as “pretty special for his team.” He hopes that momentum helps propel them closer to a state championship later this season.
